LA FUTURA SALUMI
The history of Futura Salumi, always led by the Ceruti family and now in its fourth generation, came to life in the early fifties in a small agricultural courtyard immersed in the Crema countryside: over seventy years of passion and tradition, respecting the most authentic artisan skill typical of Italian know-how.
Quality guaranteed first and foremost from the careful selection of raw materials: for the production of cured meats and other sausages, in fact, the company uses exclusively fine pork meat coming from heads born, raised and slaughtered exclusively in our country, bred by selected and certified suppliers.
In addition to meat, however, it is the accurate dosage of other fundamental elements that guarantee exceptional results: salt, pepper, spices, flavorings and others ingredients (such as, for example, truffle, garlic or Barolo), based on the specific type of the individual cured meat, are combined with the dough precisely following the ancient recipes created and refined by father Piero, founder of the company. This is how the products take on the most typical flavor and aroma, which when tasted immediately bring to mind the cured meats of the past, sincere and natural, that our grandparents enjoyed around the table in the company of a good glass of wine.
For the entire process, a method is strictly respected as much as possible artisan and not mechanised: the twine tying, in particular, is made entirely by hand, ensuring the perfect execution of a gesture handed down for generations and fundamental to guarantee correct seasoning .
The cured meats produced - more than forty varieties from Lombardy and beyond, for over one million kg per year - are subjected to constant quality verification and control, to guarantee compliance with the relevant legislation throughout the entire supply chain.
Tasting one of Futura's cured meats is more than just feeling the flavour: it's going back to listening to the stories of simple and genuine people, but capable of giving life to something unique. A simple story, in short, and not a simple story.
