Antico Frantoio Guido Giardino

Antico Frantoio Guido Giardino

Our adventure begins more than a century ago, when grandfather Eusebio chases his passion and begins to produce extra virgin olive oil in Rocca San Giovanni, in Abruzzo, in the heart of the Trabocchi coast. Electricity in the village is among the largest conquests of the time: from the mates moved by the horse, the electrical millstones arrive. In the 1960s, the pressing became unique and the nylon replaced the coconut fiber as a filter material. Thanks to the first hydraulic presses, the oil oxidation is reduced and its quality increases. In the 90s, Enzo, Eusebio's nephew, replaced all machinery, but once again chooses traditional processing techniques. The stainless steel replaces iron in all parts in contact with the olives and oil. The storage room is air -conditioned, heated in winter and refreshed in summer: it improves the storage of the oil and the organoleptic properties are unaltered. We at the ancient Frantoio Guido Giardino have always been attentive to technological innovation to obtain an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
