Artesanos don Bosco Perù

Artesanos don Bosco Perù

In 1967 he began the Mato Grosso operation, a youth movement born from the heart and imagination of a Salesian father, Don Ugo de Censi, worried about animating and motivating young tired of listening only to empty words. Thus begins the adventure of the dear: hundreds of young Italians work in a group to maintain the missions in Latin America and learn some fundamental values: free work, consistency, group spirit and attention to the poor. Many of them choose to live an experience of a few months or a long time in the missions in Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru. Following the dream of Father Ugo and animated by the spirit of Don Bosco, in the years â € ˜ 80, professional schools have opened who prepare young people to the art of carpentry, carving, the decoration of glass, weaving, of ceramics, embroidery and tailoring. In these schools, totally free, pupils receive education, professional training, food and accommodation and above all a human and religious education that helps them grow as good Christian and honest citizens. At the end of the school, the possibility of being part of the Artesanos de Don Bosco is offered, an activity in which artisan and artistic work allows collaborators to live decently in their country and close to their families
