The company ""The hills of Raffaele"" was born in 2019 with a long history behind, on the hills of Veroli, a small town of the historic Ciociaria, immersed in the Ernici mountains, when, Niko and Sandra decide to carry on the family business that Grandfather Luigi Pazienza began in 1960, renting a mill to work olives as a third party account and, sucking in 1965 nor did he build one of his own. Then the electricity are not yet present, the granite millstones turned by means of a track tractor, then, with the takeover of the sons Domenico and Pierluigi, modernized part of the oil mill. In 2020, after having acquired, thanks to courses and events in the sector, a greater awareness began, thus began a project for the valley and recovery of abandoned olive groves, due to the poor profitability and morphology of the land, mostly steep where, however, they are born Extra virgin oils of great character. The company develops between 500 and 650mt s.l.m, where the olive tree enjoys a micro climate that allows you to limit or not use chemicals at all, and to obtain a high quality oil. In non-olive tree, the company cultivates other crops, such as the wheat of ancient varieties, from which they derive the dry pasta with exceptional nutra-couthern properties. From the start, he married the philosophy of organic, even if he is still in the conversion period; It extends over about 10 hectares, and with 1300 autochthonous olive trees of Ciera, Moraiolo, Itrana and Leccino varieties, and is expanding. Their quality standards is well defined: to the concept of quality those of selection, interpretation and terroir are added, to bottle the maximum expression of their land.
