Oswald Demetz began his apprenticeship in 1954 and 1966 he founded his own company: Deur. In 1971 he was given the title of sculptor teacher, after which he began to form various apprentices. Today he is his son Karlheinz Demetz to direct the family company DEUR with the same enthusiasm and the same dedication as the Father. Since 2013, the headquarters of our company is located in a new building in Ortisei in Val Gardena. Our company has specialized in creating finely carved and hand-painted objects, distinguishing our work for decades. All our creations are handcrafted and certified.
