My art is goldsmithing. I have deeply believed, in all these years of activity, in the intrinsic value of creation in general and of jewelery in particular. In this historical moment in which a reflection linked to the diatribe between the superfluous and the indispensable is urgently needed, I have questioned the need to continue the production of a good which, apparently, has a frivolous character. And it is precisely this aspect that, perhaps, should be denied. Like all forms of art that man produces out of intimate need and which lead those who contemplate them to reflection and a creative transformation of thought and vision of the world, goldsmithing also has this value in itself. Furthermore, the necklace takes on a very strong identity character that distinguishes the cultures and historical eras that are its expression, but also the individual. A jewel is chosen, most of the time, because it tells something. This ""something"" is at once the ancestral history from which it descends almost genetically, but also the history or just an aspect of the wearer. In a certain sense, the jewel is a microcosm that contains a macrocosm. How the micro can contain the macro is always a fascinating mystery. But this is exactly where the indispensable value of the goldsmith's art lies. Because every culture is made up of what is potentially, but also of its memory.

Goldsmith's art is born from man's need to communicate his own if not only through words. Not everything is sayable... for the rest, fortunately, there is Art. Coming into contact with metal, preserving and perpetuating, by innovating, the techniques of transformation of matter puts us in communication with a non-negligible aspect of being, of being within a society, but, at the same time, keeps us in contact with the deep and archaic root of what we are. The artefact, the result of the craftsman's technical expertise, becomes an extension not only of his thought, but also of his hand and his profound feeling.
