For over a century, the Neri family has lived Etna through its various activities. They were the early twentieth century when the brothers Vincenzo and Salvatore, the latter promising tenor, emigrated to the United States to seek luck. Fortunately, he arrives in a very short time thanks to the many sacrifices, but above all to the beautiful voice of Salvatore, a passionate interpreter of Italian lyric in the New York theaters. But the fate wanted that the singer was missing due to an incurable evil and Vincenzo finds himself in disharm and alone. Thus he decided to return to the native land and, with the savings placed aside with his brother during the years abroad, acquires a plot of land in the municipality of Linguaglossa, on the slopes of Etna. Here he joined in marriage with a girl in the country and together they began to deal with their own possessions, dedicating the cultivation of the land to vineyards and olive groves and thus throwing themselves into the trade of olive oil and wine. Today the company, now also known abroad, is administered by the grandchildren Salvo and Fabio who, with the approval of the parents Holy and Nina, have expanded the family business first with the opening of the Arrigo house, country house Dedicated to the reception and tasting of the organic products of Neri Agricola, and later, in 2012, with the construction of Villa Neri Resort & Spa, an exclusive hotel equipped with 24 rooms, gourmet restaurant, wellness center and a large salted water swimming pool framed by a lush garden.
