LE NACATOLE DI ZIA MARCELLA

I am Marcella Oliva, the artisan de Le Nucatole di Zia Marcella. We are in Polistena, in the province of Reggio Calabria. The deeds are typical Calabrian sweets, the recipe is the traditional one: flour, sugar, eggs, olive virgin olive oil, natural aromas like anise and almond and typical Calabrian essential oils like bergamot and lemon. The processing method is the one that taught by my mom, thread the shortbread, the intertwining on a wooden handle and then step on the chassis comb. How to enjoy our deeds? At the end of the meal, they are accompanied well to coffee and a passito but also as a snack, the children should be greedy!
